voip.ms Sign-up Instructions
- Navigate to http://www.voip.ms
- Click Signup, enter the relevant information.
- Go to your email, click activation link.
- Log into account using email/password
- Main Menu -> Account Settings
- Click tab named Inbound Settings. Change Device type to IP PBX Server.
- Click tab named Default DID Routing. Change DID POP to the city closest to you – remember this selection. Make sure Routing is set to SIP and your “main account” is selected in the drop-down.
- Click tab named Advanced. Set NAT to yes, DTMF Mode to RFC2833
- Finances -> Add Funds
- Use PayPal or CCs directly to add some money into your voip.ms account. You should probably add around $20 to get started.
- DID Numbers -> Order DIDs
- Select the location from which you want a number.
- From the list of numbers, choose one and select a plan (per minute is best), and complete the order for the new DID.
- Repeat, if necessary, to order additional DIDs
- Main Menu -> Account Information
- Note the SIP Username mentioned – the password, unless you have changed it, is the same as the password initially used to log in to the voip.ms website.
- Note the VoIP server hostname corresponding to the city selected earlier as DID POP.
- Go through Jazinga setup process.
- When prompted for Telephony Service information, enter the VoIP server hostname noted above, as well as the SIP Username and Password.
- If you ordered multiple numbers and want to send them to different places, you will need to add these in the Jazinga setup of the Telephony Service.
