Founded in 2007, Jazinga was formed by a group of Internet and telephony veterans and entrepreneurs who believed that the traditional telephony systems needed to join the 21st century. Little has changed in telephony over the past 25 years. Sophisticated telephony features such as auto-attendants, extension to extension calling, remote office integration or individual extensions and voicemail boxes has been reserved for large organizations with the financial and technical resource to implement and manage them. The “Voice 2.0″ wave has started and Jazinga is leveraging the integration of voice and data to bring advanced Internet and telephony functionality to the small business market by delivering the following:
Ease of Use
Ease of use is an easy term to throw around but when it comes to the complexities of telephony, it is difficult to accomplish, at least as Jazinga defines it. When we say easy to use we don’t mean that it is easy for a highly trained and expensive telephony technician to work with; we mean it is easy for any IT VAR or even the small business or home user to install and maintain.
Reliability
Jazinga understands that the telephone and communication systems can be the life blood of a business. Home users have long expected that when they pick up their telephone it “just works”. Jazinga designed its products to work equally well with traditional telephone lines, voice over Internet protocol (VoIP), including services including Skype and Google Talk, or any combination together to maximize call quality and capabilities while minimizing calling costs. Jazinga also integrates quality of service (QoS) with its appliance ensuring that the voice traffic on your network receives the necessary priority over other traffic to deliver reliable call quality every time.
Affordability
Jazinga’s solutions are built and designed to be easy to install and implement eliminating the need for technical expertise. Just plug your telephones into the network and Jazinga will find them and configure them for you automatically. Then, a wizard guides the installer through a series of simply-worded, business oriented questions that are used to configure the system. The wizard-driven configuration typically takes less than 20 minutes to set up the system. Adding users and administering the system after install is just as simple.
Jazinga is a venture capital backed company with its primary funding coming from Brightspark Ventures.
