Setup & Management:
Phone Auto-Provisioning
Just by connecting your phones to your network, your phones will be detected and configuration files for your phones generated and pushed out to your phones. Jazinga's auto-provisioning works with almost all models from providers such as Aastra, Cisco, Linksys, Polycom and Snom.
Phone Service Auto-provisioning
Jazinga's Setup Wizard helps the installer determine which telephone services they wish to install, walks them through a selection process for VoIP services and then automatically provisions the service in the Jazinga system.
Wizard Driven Setup
The Jazinga system is designed for the do-it-yourselfer. The wizard walks users through a series of non-technical questions about their organization and uses this information to automatically configure the system. The wizard installs and configures all networking and telephony system functionality on the Jazinga appliance. Installation requires no IT or telephony expertise or experience.
Wizard Driven Management
Jazinga utilizes wizards to assist in administrative tasks such as adding, removing or editing users, managing phones, creating or editing Auto-attendants and creating routes for individual DIDs used in the system.
Remote Management
If your Jazinga system administrator or support resource is located somewhere that does not permit direct access to your Jazinga appliance, no problem. Jazinga has remote administration capabilities that enable the system to be administered from anywhere Internet access is available.
Report Exporting (.csv)
Extend Jazinga's powerful reporting engine by creating .csv files that you can import into applications such as Excel and Access.
Status Pages
View the real-time status of the Jazinga system. You can quickly see which phones are connected and which analog and VoIP phone services are up and running.

Telephony:
Auto-Attendant (IVR)
The Jazinga Auto-Attendant lets callers press options to reach destination extensions within your company. For example, "Press 1 for Support" or "Press 2 for Sales." The Auto-Attendant feature is easy to use and powerful. With simple clicks of the mouse you can manage call flow, build scheduled responses, forward calls off-site, and more.
Voicemail
Jazinga offers easy ways to retrieve you voicemail messages:
• Press the voicemail button on your telephone.
• Dial in remotely from any outside phone to access the voicemail options.
• Receive attached .wav files in your email.
• Listen via your user portal.
Unified Voicemail-to-Email
Receive your voicemails as emails! Jazinga comes sends an email to the voicemail recipient whenever they receive a voicemail. The email has an audio attachment so that you can listen to the voicemail right from your Inbox. If the message is opened or deleted in email it will also be opened or deleted from the phone and vice versa.
Music/Messages on Hold
Music-on-Hold (MOH) is as simple as uploading MP3 files using the web-based administration panel. The MP3 files may contain music or messages. You choose what you would like to have your callers listen to while on hold.
Scheduler
Want to play different messages to callers at different times of the day? Want an entirely different Auto-Attendant on weekends or evenings, with different options for your callers to choose from? Jazinga's intuitive Scheduler makes it easy to create and apply schedules that will make your phone system work for you - even when no-one will be available to take calls.
Night Mode
Night mode is a feature that enables users to quickly and easily switch system modes from available to away. For example a small business may want to turn on their phone system (switch off or change Auto-attendants for example) in the morning and put it to night mode and the end of the day. This is easily accomplished in Jazinga with a few simple button pushes on your telephone.
Analog & IP Phones
Jazinga is one of the most flexible phone systems on the market today, supporting all analog phones and auto-provisioning popular IP phones such as Aastra, Cisco, Linksys, Polycom, and Snom. Jazinga supports MWI (message waiting indicator) on all IP Phones and utilizes stutter-tone on analog phones to indicate voicemail waiting. Analog phones support multiple call appearances via call-waiting flash-hook.
Distinctive Ring
Know who is being called or what type of call is coming in by the distinctive
ring. In a small business the same person may perform many roles. Distinctive
rings will identify if the call is coming in as a result of someone selecting
the sales option from the Auto-attendant or if it's a support call. In
the home, distinctive rings can identify who the inbound call is for.
Note: Not all phones support customizable ring tones.
Simultaneous Ring
Simultaneous Ring is a feature that can take one inbound call and rings all phones or those identified as part of a Team; the first to pick up gets the call.
Call Forwarding
Users can use their personal User Portal to enable call forwarding to either an internal extension or to an external number.
Name Directory
Jazinga comes pre-configured with a professional "spell-by-name" directory. Callers are simply prompted to "spell the first three letters of the party's first name." They are then automatically connected to the requested extension.
DIDs
The Jazinga administrator can assign an inbound phone number (DID) to route to any user's extension.
Unlimited VoIP Accounts
Jazinga comes VoIP-ready with unlimited VoIP provider accounts. With a couple clicks of the mouse, you can connect Jazinga to your favorite VoIP Providers (SIP or IAX) and configure VoIP for inter-office and intra-office calls while keeping regular calls going out over POTS/PSTN.
We recommend using VoIP for free inner and intra-office calling, and perhaps
to save on international calling, but to use PSTN if you can afford to. However,
if you are going to use VoIP as your primary provider, we highly recommend:
1. A dedicated broadband connection just for VoIP
2. A high quality VoIP provider.
PSTN Failover
Jazinga offers VoIP-users a PSTN failover in case of an Internet service interruption. PSTN Failover ensures that if your Internet service or power goes down, your PSTN telephone line is still available and operational.
Remote User/Office
All users of your telephone system may not be located in the same physical location. Jazinga enables remote users/offices to work as though they were in the same location. Calls can come in through the main telephone number and will be routed to them no matter where they are located. Extension to extension dialing works as if the remote user is just down the hall. Using soft-phones or Wi-Fi enabled mobile phones with a SIP client ensures the road warrior and frequent traveler is always in touch.
User Portal
Jazinga's User Portal enables users to manage their telephone system functions from an easy to use interface from their PC rather than using the telephone keypad to manage their personal telephone preferences. The User Portal allows users to quickly and easily manage their personal activities such as: listen to voicemail, view faxes, enable do-not-disturb (DND), enable call forwarding, change their user PIN and personal greeting from anywhere they have Internet access.
Powerful Reporting
From the Jazinga Web User Panel, individual users can look at their call logs — and return calls with the click of a mouse!
BLF (Busy Lamp Field) Support
You can now view whether other users of your phone system are on the phone directly from your phone! Using the Company Directory, you can easily drag-and-drop users into your BLF area on any Aastra or Linksys model with BLF support. We have even added automatic detection and support for the Aastra and Linksys sidecars to extend the number of BLF keys available on your phones.
Conference Bridges
Jazinga comes pre-configured with 2 conference bridges configured and ready to use for free! Up to 5 Participants can join a conference simply by dialing an extension and entering the conference PIN code.
Teams
Jazinga includes a powerful Team feature that allows you to build Team extension and assign permissions to those Teams.
Jazinga includes Team permissions to manage features, such as:
• Barge
• Long distance dialing (Trunk control)
• And much more
Routing by DIDs
Your business may have several numbers for different departments. With Jazinga's ability to route by DIDs, you can direct calls to a different call menu based on the inbound number dialed.
Paging
Want to page everyone on your telephone system? Simply dial *00 on your telephone
(or pre-programmed speed dial key) and broadcast your message or request to
all phones in the system.
Note: There are a few phones that cannot receive pages. Check your phone's
user manual.
Advanced Call Forwarding
With a few clicks of your mouse in the User Portal you can forward your extension to another extension, a cell phone, or any other number.
Custom Caller IDs
Jazinga lets you customize the Caller ID name/number for each user and team
allowing you to block, reveal, or change the Caller ID of every user or team
on your system.
Note: if you are using POTS lines, for 911 reasons, POTS outbound Caller IDs
are always controlled by your carrier.
Upload Voice Prompts
This feature gives you the ability to upload highly professional pre-recorded voice prompts for your Auto-attendant, voicemail or other features rather than using text to speech or your own recorded messages.
FindMe®
Allow callers to find you wherever you are: Simply indicate how you would like to be reached whether at home, a branch office, another internal extension or on your mobile phone. Find Me capabilities will allow Jazinga to find you by ringing other numbers or extensions sequentially or can even ring multiple phones simultaneously.
Mobile Integration
Used in conjunction with Find Me, Mobile Integration allows you to send a call that has been forwarded to your cell phone right back to any extension on Jazinga. Simply press a few keys on your mobile phone and that call is redirected to that extension or even back to your own desk.
Privacy Manager
Privacy Manager allows you to talk to who you want, when you want. When you enable Privacy Manager on your system before the call is forwarded to you, the voice prompt will ask the caller to record their name, and that recording will be played to you before you accept the incoming call.

Extensibility
(See also Technology)
Middleware and API:
Jazinga has built two middleware components:
1) An abstract model for provisioning and configuring a PBX and various other
components required for unified messaging, convergence, and device/handset auto-provisioning.
No knowledge of the underlying components is necessary to build unified messaging,
PBX and convergence applications. This API is an HTTP REST interface.
2) An abstract call control and IVR language based on Voice XML (VXML) and Python which allows developers to build Voice applications at a high level without using the proprietary call control and IVR languages that come with the various PBXs and other base messaging systems.
Jazinga's approach to creating its middleware and API makes it very unique in the market. Not only does it make telephony features and capabilities available to other applications but it also lowers the bar for technical expertise or training required to take advantage of it. Rather than creating a proprietary API with its own training requirement, Jazinga has worked with standards to create an environment where engineers familiar with these standards are already capable of working with Jazinga.
Rebrandable Interface
Jazinga is the first Jazinga telephony application platform that provides easy branding capabilities through a powerful administrative interface. In Jazinga SE, resellers and customers can co-brand the product by uploading images and choosing color palettes. Jazinga EE and Jazinga CCE support full re-branding capabilities.
